This Week's Friday Meeting

This weeks meeting was really fun. We had a video crew there filming our meeting for a video that is being created to promote TechSoup space in Second Life.

Tuesday volunteered to be the Nonprofit Commons manager and serve as the liaison between tenants, TechSoup, and ACS.

At the end of the meeting we took a tour of the new space. See us all looking amazed at how big the space is? The offices are huge! The Nonprofit Commons is gonna rock!

Nice Introductory Presentation to Second Life

I came across some slides from PodCamp Toronto from Bryan Person and Jay Moonah that explain in a simple way "What is Second Life?"

Bryan has a few posts on his blog reflecting on his experience attending and planning events in Second Life. Definitely worth checking out.

Welcome to the NPSL blog!

We blog about non-profit organizations and how they work in Second Life – to collaborate among themselves and with each other, engage with their publics, raise funds, teach, learn and further their real-world goals.

You'll find ideas, case studies, successes, failures and lessons learned. From the basics of SL to sophisticated tips, as long as it has a non-profit slant, it's welcome here.

If you're putting Second Life to work on behalf of the non-profit world, and you'd like to add your voice to ours, great! Check back soon for details.

Many thanks to Brownrice Internet for hosting the NPSL site.
